Owls to Play in Jimmy V Classic Tonight

The No. 11 men’s basketball team has returned to The Big Apple! The team will play in the Jimmy V Classic tonight at Madison Square Garden, where they won the 2023 East Regional title and advanced to the Final Four. The Owls will face No. 20 Illinois at 6:30 p.m.

The Jimmy V Classic, named for legendary college basketball coach Jim Valvano, annually raises money and awareness for the V Foundation for Cancer Research. No. 5 UConn and No. 9 North Carolina also have been invited to participate. 

I know that Coach May and the team are excited to return to MSG, and I hope to see a number of Florida Atlantic fans cheering them on in person. For anyone who will be in New York City, the FAU Alumni Association will host a pre-game meet-up at The Dean, which is less than a mile from Madison Square Garden. Click here for information.
