Celebrating Independence Day

Tomorrow, our nation will celebrate its 249^th Independence Day, and I want to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy as Americans. In observance of this day, Florida Atlantic University will be closed on Friday, July 4, and no classes will be held.

I also want to acknowledge the reason we have these liberties, which is our brave servicemembers who have answered the call to defend our nation. Their courage and sacrifice preserve our freedoms, uphold our values, and protect our way of life.

I hope everyone has a safe and memorable holiday weekend. Happy Fourth of July, Owls!
