Congratulations, FAU High School Graduates!
Friday, May 16, 2025
This week, we celebrated the graduation of the Florida Atlantic University High School Class of 2025. The members of this class are among the most academically talented students in the nation, and it was a proud occasion to commemorate their exceptional accomplishments.
At FAU High School, every student participates in a dual-enrollment program through Florida Atlantic, earning college credits while completing their high school education. As such, these graduates have spent the past several years immersed in university-level coursework — and six members of the Class of 2025 even earned their bachelor’s degrees a week before their high school diplomas! Three of these impressive students are only 17 years old, and all graduated with honors. These students are:
- Naomi Bien-Aime, age 18, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, summa cum laude;
- Leena Ganesh, age 17, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, magna cum laude;
- Janai Newball-Oladapo, age 18, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, cum laude;
- Anjali Nori, age 17, Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, summa cum laude;
- Ayan Sanaullah, age 18, Bachelor of Science in Biological and Physical Sciences, magna cum laude; and
- Mattea Simmons, age 17, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, summa cum laude.
Approximately 70% of the FAU High School Class of 2025 will remain at Florida Atlantic to complete their bachelor’s degrees within the next year.
Many graduates in this year’s class also stood out for their extraordinary academic distinction in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Competition. Twenty-two students were named National Merit Scholars — a prestigious title earned by less than 1% of high school seniors in the United States. An additional 29 students were recognized as Commended Scholars. These impressive achievements reflect the high caliber of instruction at FAU High School, as well as the remarkable talent and commitment of its students.
I am incredibly proud of the FAU High School Class of 2025 and all they have accomplished in their pursuit of excellence at Florida Atlantic. I am also thankful to Superintendent Joel Herbst, and to the dedicated faculty and staff members who supported their success. As these graduates continue their educational journey — many of them right here at Florida Atlantic — we look forward to all they will achieve in the years ahead.
Congratulations, Class of 2025!
