FAU Foundation Board Welcomes Allison Taylor
The Florida Atlantic University Foundation recently welcomed Allison Taylor to its Board of Directors.
The Florida Atlantic University Foundation recently welcomed Allison Taylor to its Board of Directors. Her nomination was recently approved by the FAU Board of Trustees for a three-year term.
“We are pleased to have Allison join the board,” said Brian Poulin, chair of the FAU Foundation Board. “Her background and expertise will be an asset to Florida Atlantic University and to the foundation board as we strive to enhance philanthropic support to advance student and academic success.”
Taylor has built a career in finance and accounting with more than 20 years of experience as a public accountant. Currently, she is an audit partner with Deloitte & Touche LLP. Her work has included projects with several of the nation’s largest energy providers. Taylor has served as a director, executive committee member and chair of the finance committee for United Way of Palm Beach County, and as a director and chair of the audit committee for Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Palm Beach County. She earned a master’s degree in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
“I am delighted to be a part of a team dedicated to creating impact and opportunities at Florida Atlantic through philanthropic connection and service,” said Taylor.
The FAU Foundation Board is comprised of dedicated alumni and friends of the university who volunteer their time and expertise to oversee fundraising efforts and manage the foundation’s nearly $500 million in assets. Operating under the Division of Institutional Advancement, the 501(c)3 nonprofit foundation is a fiduciary and steward of donors’ gifts and wishes.
