1. Personal Support for Online Learners

The eLearning Success Coordinator is available to support any FAU student taking one or more fully online courses. (561) 297-3590.

2. FAU Center for Learning and Student Success

2.1 FAU Center for Learning and Student Success- CLASS

CLASS provides a variety of programs to help students engage, achieve, and excel at FAU and prepare for a future of lifelong learning.

2.2 FAU Student Accessibility Services- SAS

SAS - FAU's comprehensive academic support services include advocacy, academic accommodations, Assistive Technology equipment/software training, Assistive Technology Computer Lab, Learning Strategies, and an active student organization. SAS has offices across three of FAU's campuses- Boca Raton, Davie, and Jupiter. However, accessibility services are available for students attending any of the six FAU campuses.

2.3 FAU Student Resource Center

At the FAU Student Resource Center, Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a series of weekly study sessions for students taking historically difficult courses. SI is open to all students who want to improve their understanding of course material and improve their grades.

FAU Tutoring Service, a CLASS program housed in General Class Room South, 2nd Floor, provides free group tutoring by peer tutors in content area courses. The eTutoring program offers the same service to students in fully online classes, within a virtual setting.

The Math Learning Center (MLC) program helps FAU students develop math problem-solving skill so they have the confidence and ability to solve math problem on their own. MLC tutoring is available for Intermediate and College Algebra, Math for Liberal Arts, Statistics, Pre-calculus, Trigonometry, and Calculus courses. Exam review sessions are offered as well.

The University Center for Excellence in Writing provides appointment-based support to help all members of the University community to enhance their writing. These consultations are available on the Boca Raton, Broward, and Jupiter campuses. Online consultations are also offered. The FAU Writing Center Online is fully dedicated to supporting the unique needs of distance learners. This service is available only to students enrolled in one or more online courses.

The Online Division of Student Affairs offers multiple programs, services, and facilities to promote academic success and student development.

3. FAU Library Resources

The Florida Atlantic University Library offers an expanding collection of services, including:

Access from your home to electronic library resources, including the full text of many articles and e-books.
Delivery to your home or class location of books and articles owned by FAU Libraries.
Deliver to your home or class location copies of articles from journals not available at FAU.
On-site borrowing and assistance at other Florida public universities and community colleges.
Access to library video tutorials, LibGuides, and other instructional resources.

Read&Write, an award-winning literacy toolbar, is now free for everyone at FAU thanks to a grant awarded to Student Accessibility Services.

With Read&Write, you can:
