Dalia Calvillo is a Mexican American first-generation student living in Michoacán, Mexico, until age sixteen. Dalia moved to the United States to pursue higher education and attend Florida Atlantic University to fulfill her dream of attending a university in the United States. 

During her time at FAU, Dalia has been a part of multiple organizations on campus, including FAU First & Proud, Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, and Student Government. She has held multiple positions, such as Leadership Engagement Specialist, Digital Marketing Creator, and Content Manager. In her last three years as part of Student Government, Dalia served as House Administrative Officer, Boca Raton Speaker Pro Tempore, President of the University-Wide Student Senate, and Student Body President prior to serving as Student Body President. During her sophomore year, Dalia represented FAU at the Model United Nations competition in New York City as a Delegate, where she was awarded the Outstanding Delegation Award and placed FAU #1 among all 207 universities that participated. 

Dalia has received the prestigious distinction of the 2022-2023 Circle of Excellence Award, given to a student leader who has demonstrated significant contributions to the student body at a University-Wide level. Additionally, she received the 2022 Dorothy Shaw Leadership Award, the highest individual achievement given to a collegiate member of Alpha Delta Pi representing the Florida Atlantic University chapter at a national level. Dalia is a huge fan of the FAU Men’s Basketball and Soccer team and the Diplomacy Program.
