Darrenn Cadet, Ed.D., CRC holds extensive experience supporting underserved communities, students, and adults with and without disabilities in achieving success across education, employment, mental health, daily living, and independent functioning. Dr. Cadet earned her Doctorate in Special Education and Autism in 2025 from Nova Southeastern University and holds a Master’s degree in Vocational Rehabilitation from Florida International University. She obtained her Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) credential in 2021.
Dr. Cadet currently leads all program operations for AccessTECH, a federally funded workforce development initiative at Florida Atlantic University, where she oversees participant recruitment and selection, program implementation, student coordination, accessibility, compliance, data tracking, and student success across multiple cohorts and career pathways.
In addition to her administrative leadership, Dr. Cadet serves as an Adjunct Professor in the College of Education at Florida Atlantic University, where she contributes to the preparation of future professionals in counseling, rehabilitation, and disability-focused disciplines.
Dr. Cadet’s research interests focus on autism, employment outcomes, and employer self-efficacy, with particular emphasis on inclusive hiring and workplace inclusion. Prior to joining FAU, she served as the National Manager of Employment Initiatives and Deputy Director of Development at Autism Speaks and Best Buddies International, where she collaborated with national stakeholders to advance inclusive employment initiatives and support individuals with disabilities in obtaining and maintaining competitive, integrated employment.
Her professional background also includes roles within vocational rehabilitation systems as a Vocational Evaluator, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, and workforce development professional under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Dr. Cadet’s areas of expertise include autism research, workforce development, employment outcomes, transition to adulthood, professional development, self-efficacy, and inclusive workplace practices.
