Avani Pawaroo serves as a project assistant and student success advisor for AccessTECH. She has a background in psychology and is currently pursuing her Master of Education (M.Ed) in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). She also earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in psychology at FAU in 2024.
Avani is passionate about advocating for individuals with chronic or acquired disabilities looking to re-enter the workforce. Her background in psychology coupled with her studies in vocational counseling allows her to guide students on their academic journeys with AccessTECH to engage in goal-oriented behavior and achieve their employment and professional aspirations. She plans to pursue a career in private sector vocational rehabilitation following completion of her graduate degree.
Outside of work, she volunteers with a nonprofit organization that advocates for individuals with disabilities. She also enjoys researching and collaborating with professionals in the rehabilitation field to further advocate for her students and all individuals within the community.
