Courses

In order to receive an undergraduate certificate in Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies, students need to complete five designated courses and complete the requirements for a bachelor’s degree.

WST 2010 Introduction to Women’s Studies OR
WST 2608 Introduction to Sexuality & Gender, OR
WST 3315/3930 Feminist Perspectives on Gender OR
WST 3640 Sex and Gender in American Culture

These courses are multidisciplinary studies of gender-related issues in contemporary society, stressing cultural images of women, gender socialization, and feminist methods of analysis.  They explore women’s experiences in the context of the interaction of gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, and class.
