Celebrating FAU’s Chair Medal Recipients!

Wednesday, May 03, 2023

Last night, Florida Atlantic held its inaugural Chair’s Medal ceremony to recognize outstanding supporters of the University who have used their time, talents or investments to help our community become a center for excellence and distinction. Chair of the FAU Board of Trustees, Brad Levine, hosted the event and presented eight honorees with the esteemed Chair’s Medal at the Eleanor R. Baldwin House on the Boca Raton campus.

The first recipients of the Chair’s Medal include: Trustee Emeritus Scott Adams ’87; FAU Board of Trustees Vice Chair Barbara Feingold; benefactors Michelle and Michael Hagerty; Men’s Basketball Head Coach Dusty May; professor emeritus Eric Shaw ’72, ’73, Ph.D.; and president and CEO of Broward Health, Shane Strum. Additionally, a posthumous Chair’s Medal was awarded to Jeffrey Feingold, D.D.S., who served on the FAU Board of Trustees for 10 years.

Each of these honorees received the award for demonstrating an extraordinary commitment to Florida Atlantic in various ways. From exceptional leadership to transformational philanthropy, we are grateful for their tremendous impact on the University’s success.

I’d like to thank Chair Levine for establishing this high honor at FAU. We are proud to have such dedicated supporters throughout the University, and this award allows us to recognize their significant involvement.

Congratulations to all our 2023 Chair’s Medal recipients!
