This week, FAU is hosting a virtual celebration in honor of the spring Class of 2020. I know this isn’t the final semester our graduates imagined, and I share their disappointment that we couldn’t host commencement ceremonies as planned. We do plan to reschedule commencement at a later date, so each student will receive the recognition they have earned, in front of the family and friends who supported them on this journey. In the meantime, we’re sharing some of their unique stories and accomplishments at www.fau.edu/spring2020 and on social media.

The spring Class of 2020 is the largest graduating class in FAU history, with more than 3,400 students earning undergraduate and graduate degrees. Graduates range in age from 17 to 77 and represent 48 countries. More than one-third are the first in their families to earn a college degree.

Our graduates worked hard and achieved much during their time here at FAU, and I look forward to congratulating them in person when it is safe for us to gather again. For now, everyone is invited to join the virtual celebration at www.fau.edu/spring2020 and on social media.

Congratulations to the Class of 2020, and Go Owls!
