I am a practitioner cum academic with an entrepreneurial bent of mind who once had a torrid love affair with Physics. I have advanced training in mathematical programming including optimization, advanced data analysis, and simulation techniques. I am a full stack data scientist harvesting data from its origin in raw form to finished products in form of insights and strategy. Be it conventional statistics or modern data mining algorithms, I apply what is necessary to solve the problem. I have extensively worked in Data Driven Strategy, Consumer Behavioral Models and Digital Technologies in Asia and America.
I have consulted and published in Public Health, Electricity Markets, Telecom, BFSI, Retail, Digital and Social Media Technology. I have worked with international agencies such as International Monetary Fund and Royal Netherland Embassy besides MNCs like TCS and 3LOQ and government Ministries such as Department of Health, Province of Nova Scotia and Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, Government of India. As a Practitioner, I have worked on several commercially deployable machine learning models such as automated risk underwriting system for an insurance company, financial product recommender system for a bank, Comprehensive automated student feedback system etc.
As an academic, I teach Business Statistics, Operations Research, Marketing Analytics, Machine Learning and Advanced Multivariate analysis for undergraduates and graduates. As a coach, I conduct executive training programs using R, Python, Tableau etc. for data analysis, data visualization, dashboard designing, machine learning and predictive models regularly.
I hold a doctorate in Operations Research from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a postgraduate in Physics from University of Mumbai. When I am not teaching or consulting, I can be found meditating or heading for an adventurous trek.
