FAU Global Civic Engagement and Outreach

The devastating aftermath of hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas is tragic and serves as a sobering reminder of the power of nature and the potential damage a hurricane can afflict on any country or region. Our hearts go out to those affected by hurricane Dorian, including our FAU students, faculty, and staff who have family and friends in the region.

During times of misfortune, people gather to offer support and resources to those who have been impacted. Several students and other members of the FAU community are already working to build awareness and support for relief efforts. For those who wish to contribute funds or provide both immediate and long-term support to the Bahamas, we would like to direct you to the list of organizations below. We also remind you to donate to reputable charities, which will ensure your gift gets to those who need them the most.

Lastly, we encourage any student who needs emotional support to contact Counseling and Psychological Services at 561-297-3540.
