The Marketing team is tasked with developing FAU’s brand identity and conveying its core messages to both internal and external audiences. The team achieves this by providing strategic guidance to university clients, overseeing university photography, setting messaging guidelines, maintaining FAU’s social media presence, creating traditional and digital advertising campaigns, and communicating through multiple platforms to the university’s various constituents.

Units looking to promote their programs should contact Marketing to discuss a strategy that will best achieve specific goals. The Marketing team provides, free of charge, agency-quality consultation on how to incorporate a specific division or unit into the overall brand identity of the University. The team can also support clients working with other areas of University Communications to mirror FAU’s overall brand identity and messaging.

The Marketing team also manages key internal communications to faculty, staff and students through the e-newsletters  Connections  and the  FAU Insider*, MyFAU announcements and university-wide emails.

FAU Insider, distributed Monday to all employees, contains feature news, upcoming events such as programs, speakers and workshops, campus updates and other important information.  Announcements  can be submitted for the FAU Insider and/or to post on MyFAU. (Deadline for FAU Insider is noon Thursday for distribution the following Monday).

*The  Student News  e-newsletter (announcement form) is distributed by the Division of Student Affairs to all current students and contains similar content to the FAU Insider.

Posts on FAU’s social media channels and newsletters exclusively drive readers to the university calendar for event information.

A tutorial on how to best use the  university calendar  can be found  here.
