AccessTech Application

Welcome to the AccessTECH Program Application Portal!

We're excited to have you here and thank you for your interest in joining our program. This portal is designed to guide you step by step through our application process.

How the Application Works

The process is broken down into three simple steps—designed to help us get to know you better while keeping things easy and efficient.

Step 1: Quick Screening

Get started with a few simple yes/no questions to determine your initial eligibility. No personal information is required at this stage.

Step 2: Eligibility Verification

In this step, we collect some important details based on your background. Please read all instructions carefully. Your application will not be accepted unless all your requirements (including documentation) are properly provided.

Here’s what you will need to upload:

  1. Proof of Disability: Upload one of the following acceptable documents:
    • SSI or SSDI Award Letter
    • Education Records (IEP or 504 Plan)
    • Medical Documentation: Provide a document that clearly states your condition or diagnosis. It must be no more than 2 pages long, on official letterhead, or signed by a licensed physician or psychologist.
  2. Highest Degree Diploma: Upload your diploma (at least a high school diploma is required).
  3. State Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (SVRA) Eligibility Letter
    • If you’ve never applied for State Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (SVRA) services, before moving forward, you must apply at your local office first. Once eligible, upload your SVRA eligibility letter.
    • If you’re currently enrolled or previously enrolled in SVRA services, simply upload your SVRA eligibility letter.
  4. For Veterans: Applicants who are Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces must provide evidence of their status by providing the following two documents:
    1. DD214 - Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty (official US Department of Defense form that summarizes a service member's active duty military service).
    2. Proof of Disability - One of the following documents:
      • Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Disability Rating Decision Letter that captions a disability rating has been granted (e.g., 0%, 30%, 70%) and that a military service connection was established.
      • OR Documentation of Non-Service-Related Disability - Any official documentation that verifies the applicant has a disability, even if it is not connected to military service.
Note: VA disability ratings may be 0%-100% as documented on the VA Disability Rating Decision Letter. Applicants who possess a VA-awarded disability rating of 0%-100% or provide proof of a non-service-related disability are eligible to apply.

What’s next?

After submitting your documents, they will be reviewed within 10-15 business days. Only applicants who meet the project requirements will advance to Step 3.

Step 3: Getting to Know You

Here’s the fun part! We’ll ask questions about your interests, abilities, and motivations to understand how we can best support you on your journey.

Following Your Application
Upon completing STEP 3, your application will enter a final review process, which could take up to 10 business days. If you are selected, you’ll receive an invitation to a virtual interview. Final admission decisions will be sent to the selected participants via email.
