Timothy Tansey Ph.D., CRC
Dr. Tim Tansey a professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Psychology and Special Education, University of Wisconsin – Madison. He has over 20 years of experience as a licensed psychologist, certified rehabilitation counselor, project evaluator, rehabilitation researcher and administrator. He has served as a principal or co- investigator on several long-term training grants and research grants. Dr. Tansey has over 60 publications in peer- reviewed journals, several book chapters, and have been invited to present my research at various local, state, and national conferences. His research interests include evidence-based practices in rehabilitation, youth with disabilities’ transition to adult life, and rehabilitation of individuals with cognitive impairments due to injury and mental illness. He experience in working with diverse populations, particularly in the areas of poverty and disability, cognitive assessment, and community/university partnership building. He is currently the Principal Investigator on the Vocational Rehabilitation Technical Assistance Center on Quality Employment and co-investigator on the RRTC on Employment of Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, the RRTC on Employment of Transition-age Youth with Disabilities, and the Wisconsin Career Pathways Advancement projects. He recently concluded his investigation as a co-Principal Investigator on the Program Evaluation and Quality Assurance Technical Assistance Center and the Wisconsin Promoting Employment for Individuals.
