Alan B. Larkin Symposium on the American Presidency

The annual Alan B. Larkin Symposium on the American Presidency supports public lectures by best-selling authors and notable speakers. It also funds a bi-annual conference of distinguished scholars that brings some of the most accomplished historians and political scientists to Florida Atlantic University. Presentations from the symposium will be published by the University Press of Florida in its new American Presidency Series, edited by History Department faculty member Kenneth Osgood. The symposium will be held each spring semester, typically in February around President’s Day weekend.

In the near future, The Alan B. Larkin Endowed Fund also will provide fellowships and scholarships for students who demonstrate an interest in the American presidency.
