There are many ways to get involved with the University Galleries!
Museum Studies and Gallery Practices (ARH4794)
Enroll in a 4-credit course which provides hands-on experience of the administration of an art museum.
Museum Education Program
FAU students can receive training in educational methods and exhibition content. Students provide tours and outreach programs to area middle and high school youth.
Internships/ Volunteering
The University Galleries are seeking serious students interested in gaining career oriented training related to museum and art gallery professions. Students of all academic disciplines are encouraged to apply. Interested students should fill out an application which are available here on our website by clicking here- Application. Applications are also available by stopping by the Schmidt Center Gallery office in PA 102. Internships are available every semester to a limited number of students.
Summer Internship applications are due by
April 30th
. Space is limited.
Directed Independent Study
Interested students may also apply to receive academic credit by enrolling in a Directed Independent Study (DIS). If interested, please fill out this application. Note: DIS requires the approval of both the University Galleries director and the chair of the Department of Visual Arts and Art History.
