The University Galleries are currently not taking applications for the summer semesters. We'll be accepting applications for the Fall and Spring semesters after July 1, 2024.

Museum Studies and Gallery Practices (ARH4794)

Enroll in a 4-credit course which investigates the many characteristics of museum and gallery management including hands-on participation in the University Galleries' ongoing productions.

Museum Education Program 

FAU students can receive training in educational methods and exhibition content. Students provide tours and outreach programs to area middle and high school youth.

AMP: Artist Mentorship Program

An arts-integrated collaboration between Florida Atlantic University, University Galleries, and The Boys & Girls Club of Palm Beach County

Internships/ Volunteering

The University Galleries are seeking students interested in gaining career-oriented training related to museum and art gallery professions. Students of all academic disciplines are encouraged to apply. Interested students should fill out an application which are available HERE on our website. Applications are also available by stopping by the Schmidt Center Gallery office in PA-102. Internships are available every semester to a limited number of students. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Directed Independent Study

Interested students may also apply to receive academic credit by enrolling in a Directed Independent Study (DIS). If you are interested, please fill out the application HERE on our website. Note: DIS requires the approval of both the University Galleries Director and the Chair of the Department of Visual Arts and Art History.
