INFORMATION
The University Galleries at Florida Atlantic University serve the community of students, faculty and staff at Florida Atlantic University. The Galleries are equally committed to serving public audiences and communities in Boca Raton, Palm Beach County and the entire South Florida region. Currently two exhibition spaces comprise the University galleries: the Schmidt Center Gallery and the Ritter Art Gallery. Each gallery presents four to six exhibitions during the traditional academic year from September through May. In addition to these formal gallery spaces, plans are currently underway to employ the architecturally distinct hallway space adjacent to the Schmidt Center Gallery as well as outdoor spaces adjacent to the Ritter Art Gallery. The University Galleries Director also participates in the University teams that are established for the Art in the State Buildings Program.

MISSION STATEMENT
The University Galleries at Florida Atlantic University present exhibitions of contemporary art, other humanities disciplines and related programs designed to stimulate interpretation thought, discussion, and other responses to the visual arts. The University Galleries are committed to reaching and building university and community based audiences by collaborating with various academic departments and student groups in the university as well as groups and organizations based in local and regional communities.
