Real projects, Real impacts. Open to everyone.
Vertically Integrated Project (VIP) teams are multidisciplinary research teams, usually of between 10 and 20 degree-seeking students from lower-division undergraduates to Ph.D. students. These teams work under two or more faculty from distinct disciplines on cutting-edge projects to answer pressing issues.
Students involved in a VIP team get course credits for research work. They are expected to participate in their team for a minimum of two semesters, which gives them an opportunity to develop as leaders and mentors within the project specialties.
Requirements:
- Multi-semester research commitment to team
- Enroll in VIP DIR sections for semesters you are on team
- Complete peer and mentor evaluations each semester you are part of team
- Complete AI and Data Science and Research and Inquiry Skills literacy assessments at beginning and end of each semester you are on VIP Team
