Financial Aid Disbursement Estimator

This tool helps you estimate how much financial aid may be applied (disbursed) to your account and what you may still need to pay the University.

When the University processes your actual financial aid disbursement, several factors could change the final amount, including residency status, grade level, meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress, and whether you’ve completed all outstanding requirements.

Also, other charges or credits not shown in this estimate may be added to your account later — for example, Housing, Meal Plans, parking or library fines, Florida Prepaid, or tuition waivers.

How to Access the Estimator:

  1.  Sign in through myFAU using your FAU credentials.
  2.  Select FAU Self-Service.
  3.  Select Financial Aid from the Menu Options.
  4.  Select Financial Aid Disbursement Estimator from the Menu Options.
  5.  Select Term, then Submit.

  • Financial aid funds are disbursed after the drop/add deadline, typically during the second or third week of the semester. These funds are applied directly to your FAU account balance.

Students with accepted financial aid have a deferred payment deadline for any remaining balance. If your financial aid exceeds your charges, the remaining amount will be issued to you as a refund .
