Employer Registration Process:

1. Registration and Event Details:

   1. Description

      The Career & Internship Fair is a job fair for Internship, Co-op and full-time opportunities in all fields including accounting, banking, government, human services, management, retail, sales, education, science, health care, information systems, engineering, and computer science.

   2. Schedule

      9:00 a.m.-10 a.m.					Employer Check-In - Student Union Building Employer Continental Breakfast
      10 a.m.-2 p.m.					Career Fair Open to Job Seekers
      12 - 12:45 p.m. & 12:45 - 1:15 p.m.					Employer Lunch
      2 p.m.-3 p.m.					Employer Booth Take Down

      Note: Parking is limited. Be sure to arrive early.

   3. Early Registration Fee

      Registration fee is $300.00.
      Each registration fee includes:

      • 1 table (2 ft. x 5 ft.), 2 chairs, up to 2 representatives
      • Continental breakfast and full buffet luncheon
      • Parking
      • All displays must fit within the 2 ft. x 5 ft. table area.
      • Handshake online listing of your company name, position information, website and profile.
      • Use of Handshake (online job postings, on-campus recruiting interviews schedules, information sessions, interview room reservations).
      • Registration for up to 2 additional representatives per table may be purchased for an additional $25 each for a total up to 4 representatives per table, per organization.
      • Additional fees not included in the registration:
        • $25 for each electrical outlet request, please bring your own 12 foot extension cord. (Limited amounts)

   4. Directions, Parking & Accommodations

      Directions to Florida Atlantic University - Broward Campus Parking Lots :

      • From the North: Take I-95 South.
      • From the South: Take I-95 North.
      • Exit onto I-595 West.
      • Exit off Davie Road.
      • Turn left on Davie Road.
      • Turn right onto Nova Drive.
      • Proceed west to College Avenue.
      • Turn left ontp College Avenue and FAU - Davie Campus entrance is approximately 1/4 mile on the left.
      • Career Event signs will be placed in the parking lot areas, they will also indicate the location of the Davie Student Union. You may use the parking lots adjacent to the union, and the tennis courts.
      • To drop off collateral/display material prior to parking, once you have turned onto campus, you may use the driveway (second right on campus) to proceed to the side entrance to the Davie Student Union. There will be a staff member to issue your parking pass and take your collateral to your booth. You may then proceed to parking.
      • No parking on grass (tickets will not be void)
      • The Career Development Center is not responsible for any parking citations that you receive while attending the event.

   5. Company Displays

      Mail company displays or other pertinent material by the following deadline:

      Important notice:
      The FAU Career Development Center cannot be held liable for damaged or missing boxes, displays, or any other packages that are shipped to or from the Career Fair.

• Payment:
  
  Payment Process

  After you complete the event registration, please allow us 3 business days to approve the registration. Once we approve your registration, we will email you the approval package, including payment instructions. If you register to attend the career fair, payment is excepted in full prior to or on the day of the event. If payment is not made, your organization will be ineligible to register for another career fair until the remaining balance is paid. • Policies
  
  Cancellations, No Shows, Refunds, & Payment Policies

  1. All fees and changes are due on or before the late registration deadline of Friday, March 6, 2015 at 5pm.

  2. Should you register, pre-pay, and not show for the Career Fair, your registration fee will not be refunded. Please keep in mind there are other organizations desiring admission to the Career Fair -- your no show may prohibit other organizations from participating. Additionally, should you register for the event and not pre-pay, and do not show for the event, you will still be responsible for paying the registration fees.

  3. Any outstanding balance for previous career fairs will prevent your organization from registering in future career fairs until the balance is paid.

  4. Should you have to cancel your event registration, we will refund your registration fee, if you cancel on or before Friday, March 6, 2015 at 5pm. All cancellations must be received in writing. After that date, refunds will not be offered.

  5. A late registration fee of $50.00 will be applied on registrations received after the early registration deadline of Friday, March 6, 2015 at 5pm.

  6. If you are registering for more than 4 representatives, an additional table must be purchased (maximum 4 reps per table). Registration is limited to 8 representatives per company.

  7. In the event a career fair must be canceled or the date re-scheduled, organizations that have already paid will have the option to receive a full refund or have the registration fee applied to the next scheduled career fair.
     (Note: Subsequent Career Fair registrations may differ.)

  8. If space is available, same day registration may be accommodated.

  9. Recruiters may only identify and recruit candidates for employment and/or their academic programs. Recruiters may not sell their products/services or solicit future purchases of products/services.

  10. Employers must adhere to equal opportunity laws and principles for employment professionals as outlined in the National Association of Colleges & Employers "Principles for Professional Practice".

  11. The Career Development Center is not responsible for parking tickets and cannot waive or appeal them.

• Registration
  
  In order to register for a career fair, your organization must have an account in Handshake. Handshake is the Career Development Center's online employment database.

  1. Log-in to an existing account.

     1. Login to Handshake with your assigned username and password.

     2. Click the Career Event menu and click [Register] under the action column. Select the event you wish to register for.

     3. After you complete the registration form, please allow us 3 business days to approve your registration. Once we approve your registration, we will email you the approval package for the event.

  2. Set up a new account.

     1. Register your organization by completing a company profile in Handshake.

     2. Review the Employer Recruitment Standards and Policies.

     3. Review the Third Party Employer Agreement.

     4. Specify the service(s) that you are interested in (you can select multiple services).

     5. After you finish creating your profile, click the register button and your company profile will be sent to us. Please allow up to 3 business days for us to approve your account.

     6. Once we approve your account you will be able to register for the Career Fair events.

     7. To register for Career Fair events, click the Career Event menu bar and click [Register] under the action column. Select the event you wish to register.

     8. After you complete the registration, please allow us 3 business days to approve the registration. Once we approve your registration, we will email you the approval package for the event.
