Spring 2019 Guest Seating
Seating in the Carole and Barry Kaye Performing Arts Center is limited and admission to the Commencement Ceremony is by TICKET ONLY (graduates do not require a ticket). The number of guest tickets for each graduate is determined by the number of applications received by January 25, 2019. Students who submit their Application for Degree and reply to the RSVP email confirming their attendance by the published deadline dates each semester (see below) can expect to receive approximately three to four tickets for their guests. As you invite family members and friends, please keep this seating limitation in mind. Graduation tickets will be issued online and can only be used for one point of entry.
Application for Degree deadline for Spring 2019 is January 25, 2019.
Graduates will receive an email invitation to their FAU email account the week of February 22, 2019.
Graduates must RSVP to the Registrar’s Office by March 12, 2019 if they intend to participate in the ceremony and receive guest tickets.
Eligible graduates are able to go online and claim their tickets starting March 15, 2019.
Additional Ticket Requests
Due to a limited seating venue we are unable to accommodate extra ticket requests.
The Registrar's Office does not endorse or facilitate the purchase of additional tickets.
Seating Accommodations for Guests
There is reserved seating on the ground floor of the auditorium for individuals with special needs, and for those who cannot access the second floor. These reserved seats are sectioned off and are assigned on a first come, first served basis. Please see the seating ushers for assistance.
Individuals who require reserved seating may be accompanied by one other guest. If your party wishes to be seated together on the ground floor, please arrive at least one hour prior to the start of ceremony so that ushers will be able to assist you in locating appropriate seating.
Infant and Child Ticket Policies
Infants and children 2 years and younger will not require a ticket as long as they are sitting on an adult's lap. All other guests will need a ticket.
There will be an area set aside for stroller parking just outside the auditorium in case they travel in a stroller—the ushers will direct your family to the stroller parking area.
