Thank you for your interest in Florida Atlantic University. The only way to apply to one of our graduate programs (masters, specialist or doctoral) is to apply online. Depending on your internet connectivity speed, you should be able to complete the online application in 15-20 minutes. Before you begin, YOU MUST check individual program deadlines and requirements. Students who apply after the deadline date will be processed for the most appropriate semester. Some programs require a supplemental application, interviews, personal statements, or other materials not included in the general graduate admission application linked to this website, so you should check the following sites:

If you have questions, feel free to contact the Graduate College at 561-297-3624. (during business hours 8 am – 5 pm, Eastern Time) or via e-mail at graduatecollege@fau.edu.

Application Fee and Term of Entrance

There is a nonrefundable application fee of $30. With the exception of McNair, McKnight and Fulbright Scholars, all applicants, including former FAU students, are required to pay the application fee.

Applications for admission will not be processed more than one year in advance of the date for which entrance is sought. Applicants have 90 days from the date that their application is submitted to pay the $30 processing fee (unless the fee is waived). If the fee is not paid within 90 days, the application will be expunged from the database. Students who apply after the deadline date will be processed for the next appropriate semester.

If an application arrives after the program deadline, it may be denied by the department due entirely to the late submission.

Applicants applying after the program deadlines cannot be assured that a decision will be reached before the beginning of the semester.

Payment Options -- You may pay the application fee online with a credit card once you have completed the online application. You may also mail a check or a money order payable to the Graduate College. The application fee must be payable in U.S. dollars from a financial institution with a branch in the United States.
