Owl Promise Program

The Owl Promise Program is FAU's commitment to supporting students with the greatest financial need.

If you qualify, you'll be named an Owl Promise Scholar, and FAU will cover 100% of your tuition and mandatory fees through a combination of federal, state, and university grants.

There is no application required: if you are eligible, the Office of Student Financial Aid will automatically notify you.

Initial Eligibility Requirements

To be considered, you must:

• Be a first-time-in-college freshman
• Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
• Be a Florida resident
• Submit the FAFSA by FAU's published priority deadline
• Have a Student Aid Index (SAI) of 0 or less
• Enroll full-time during the fall and spring semesters
  
  

Annual Renewal Requirements

To continue receiving the Owl Promise Scholar designation each year, you must:

• Submit the FAFSA by the priority deadline and maintain a Student Aid Index (SAI) of 0 or less
• Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements
• Complete 30 credit hours each academic year
