Annette LaRocco, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Political Science attended an international workshop conference “Decolonization and the Politics of Wildlife in Africa” at the University of Stellenbosch’s Institute of Advanced Studies (STIAS) in Stellenbosch, South Africa. The conference was funded through the German Research Foundation’s Point Sud program. Along with researchers from Europe, North America, and Africa, Dr. LaRocco presented her paper “We’ve Stopped with this Killing’: The Hunting Ban and Postcolonial Shifts in Botswana’s Wildlife Regime”, which was developed from her doctoral research.
