The University Galleries at FAU's Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters will present "CODA," the fall 2015 Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Exhibition from Friday, Nov. 20 through Friday, Dec. 12 in the Ritter Art Gallery, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus. There will be an opening reception with live music on Thursday, Nov. 19 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The exhibition and opening reception are free and open to the public.
"CODA" is a thesis exhibition featuring the works of 13 emerging artists and designers who are graduating from the BFA program in the Department of Visual Arts and Art History at FAU. This program is selective and is intended for students who plan to pursue a professional career in art or design, or prepare for specialized graduate study.
The exhibition will feature a variety of works in the two-dimensional and three-dimensional format, including painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, photography and graphic design. The event celebrates the culmination of undergraduate studies in a program that is ultimately geared toward fostering individual growth, visual analysis and research through the study of technique, history and critical dialogue in the studio setting.
Participating graduating artists include Emily Debevec, Danielle Dux, Terri Hamilton, Sarah Huang, Ashley Kerr, Amy Koenig, Natalie Lange, Sally Mendoza, Dmitry Pirag, Jasmine Riggs, Erin Shayler, Michael Valverde and Eleanor Woolems. Images of the graduating students' artworks are featured at the following website at www.coda-bfa.com.
