Postdoc-Mentor Relationships: Developing and Improving Mentor Interactions
In-person event:
End of year in-person gathering to include a professional development discussion with Jeanne Vivianni, director of Research Development, FAU Division of Research, followed by FAU Postdoc Association board elections, lunch and walking tour of the Boca Campus.
In addition, individual international researchers are invited to meet Izabela Iem, associate director for the Office of FAU's Global Academic Services. If you have a DS2019 and need a travel signature on your form, please set up a one-on-one meeting with Izabela by emailing us at postdocaffairs@fau.edu by December 2. Be sure to bring your form to this luncheon!
All postdocs are encouraged to attend. Consider car-pooling or taking advantage of the Jupiter/Boca Shuttle Service.

Workshop Begins: ‘To Mentor or Be Mentored? Is that the Question?’
The presentation will cover some basics of mentoring, being mentored and why it is important. However, it will also be an interactive workshop and cover FAU’s Postdoctoral Fellowship Individual Development Plan (IDP), why it can help and how to complete it. Bring questions and real-world examples to share.
