FFLIP Alumni

Kyle Webb interned for Representative Kelly Skidmore (District 92) during the Spring 2023 semester. He graduated in May 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in public administration with minors in political science and disaster management. Kyle moved to New York after graduation to work as the Deputy Campaign Manager for a state representative.

Joseph Guzzigraduated in May 2024. As a junior at Florida Atlantic, Joe was in the first legislative intern cohort and served as a legislative intern in the office of Representative Toby Overdorf (District 85). Joseph is currently the Deputy Director of Vice Presidential Correspondence in the Office of the Vice President of the United States.

Savannah Marshall graduated from Florida Atlantic in May 2024 and spent her Spring semester interning for Florida State Senator Tina Polsky. Savannah was subsequently hired by Senator Polsky and is serving as the Senator's Legislative Aide for the district. 

Kathaleen "Katie" Kelly completed her internship working for Florida State Representative Toby Overdorf.  Katie graduated from Florida Atlantic's Wilkes Honors College in May and was hired by the American Legislative Exchange Council (Arlington, VA) as an Outreach Coordinator. 

Alvaro David Sopo Salazar completed his internship serving Representative Chip LaMarca's office in May 2024 and was subsequently offered an internship in Senator Marco Rubio's Miami-based district office for the summer. Alvaro is currently pursuing a graduate degree at Florida Atlantic University.

Madison Jordan Kaplan interned for Representative Kelly Skidmore's office during the Spring 2024 semester and subsequently secured a yearlong internship with the Palm Beach County Legislative Delegation. After graduation, Maddie plans to build on her legislative experiences gained in both internships and upon the completion of her undergraduate studies in May 2025, Madison intends to apply to law school. Madison will attend law school at Nova Southeastern University in the Fall.

Dominique Blandon-Iandoli:  Dominique Blandon-Iandoli completed her internship with the office of Representative Kelly Skidmore in May of 2025.  Dominique will intern for Congresswoman Lois Frankel during the Fall 2025 semester and will graduate from FAU in May of 2026. She will subsequently pursue a master's in Europe in international relations. 

Fabian Capre completed his internship working for Representative Overdorf. Fabian will graduate from FAU in August 2025 and will continue pursuing his master’s in international business at Florida Atlantic University.

Madeline Diaz completed her internship working for Senator Tina Polsky. She graduated from Florida Atlantic in May 2025 will pursue a Master's in Public Administration at Florida State University in Fall 2025. 

Nadine Kasti completed her internship with Representative Chip LaMarca and Director of State Relations Camila Mychalczuk during the Spring 2025 semester. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in Pre-Law and a minor in English at Florida Atlantic University, where she is expected to graduate in Spring 2026. Nadine currently serves as a Legal Intake Specialist at Kogan & DiSalvo. Following graduation, Nadine plans to apply to Law School.

Yvanna Lovera is a senior at the Florida Atlantic University and is majoring in political science with a concentration in foreign relations. Her interest in international politics began during the fall 2022 where she participated in the Leon Charney diplomacy program at FAU. With this experience, Yvanna went on to intern at the United States Southern Command, where she conducted research on U.S. foreign relations with Latin American countries. She participated in the 2025 cohort of the FFLIP program, interning for Representative Christine Hunschofsky. Here, she explored the world of policy and the functions of state government. Yvanna aspires to pursue a career in diplomacy or international law and work for the Department of State.
