FL SBDC at FAU Expands Outreach to Underserved Communities in 2021
The Florida Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Florida Atlantic University is known for the resources it provides to small and medium sized businesses in Broward and Palm Beach Counties. With assistance from the Small Business Administration and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, they plan to expand their outreach to underserve communities and underserved regions in Broward and Palm Beach counties.
The new initiative, Grassroots, will provide six business entities with access to specialized technical assistance and resources like business plans, group training, funding support and tools for growth and entrepreneurship.
“We are excited for this collaboration and to be able to fulfill our mission of helping small businesses start, grow and succeed in their community,” said Sandra Marin, regional director of the Florida SBDC at FAU. “Their success is our biggest priority.”
