French (AIE)
French, one of the official languages of the United Nations, is spoken throughout the European Union, Canada and Francophone Africa making it one of the most prominent of the Romance languages. Proficient French speakers will find their skills to be of use with government agencies, commercial business, financial institutions, educational facilities and many other types of organizations. French studies focus on literature, film, culture and the written and oral communication of the language.
