Lauren Salisbury

Lauren Salisbury is a teacher-scholar who focuses on teaching effective and student-centered writing courses in online learning environments.

She earned her Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Writing from Bowling Green State University where she wrote her dissertation, The Role of Space and Place: A Case Study of Students’ Experiences in Online First-Year Writing Courses (OFYWCs). She has published work on online writing instruction and pedagogy in multiple venues including Computers and Composition, Research in Online Literacy Education, and Constellations. Prior to her work at BGSU, she earned M.A. and B.A. degrees from the University of Findlay.

In addition to teaching writing, reading, and communication courses, she has also developed and facilitated many workshops including one-on-one online teaching sponsored by the National Endowment for for the Humanities.
