Curriculum Vitae

 

Henning Haupt is a painter teaching architectural design. His artistic work explores spatial qualities within drawings, paintings and three-dimensional installations.

Dr. Haupt joined the faculty of the School of Architecture at Florida Atlantic University as an Assistant Professor in 2008. Previous to that he was teaching at the Technical University at Braunschweig, Germany (2001-2007) and completed his praxis-based Ph.D. in the field of design methods on the relationship between color, painting and architectural design. As a postgraduate experience Dr. Haupt joined the Architecture program at the Cranbrook Academy of Arts, Michigan, he received a Diploma of Architecture from the Technical University Darmstadt, Germany.

Dr. Haupt’s latest exhibits and installations are funded in part by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners and in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts. He was awarded with the South Florida Cultural Consortium Fellowship in the visual arts in 2013 as exhibited in “Who am I to you?” the South Florida Cultural Consortium Exhibit 2013 at the Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale.
