FAU Campuses Operating Under Normal Conditions

All Florida Atlantic University campuses are operating under normal conditions. However, visits to campuses should not be made unless absolutely necessary. Staff need not report until Monday. 

Students

There are 600 resident students on our Boca Raton campus. All students are safe and well, and there are no reported issues. All resident halls on our Jupiter campus were evacuated Thursday morning. Those students either returned home or were transported to the Boca Raton campus. Jupiter resident halls will reopen at noon today. Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 10 and 11) is Fall Break at FAU. Classes will resume Wednesday, Oct. 12, as originally scheduled. The Campus Rec Center and Student Union on the Boca Raton campus will be open to residential students only.

Boca Raton Housing

The residence halls/student apartments at Boca Raton are open.

The Atlantic Dining Hall is open for residential students from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Student Union Outtakes will open 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Jupiter Housing

The Residence Halls at the Honors College will reopen at noon.

The Atlantic Dining Hall North is open for residential students from 1 – 6 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Boca Raton and Jupiter campuses resume regular business hours Monday.

Campuses

Our campuses sustained nominal damage. University offices and facilities, including the libraries, are currently closed through Sunday. However, Online Library Services are available. Check the Libraries website at http://www.fau.edu/library for updates on whether the Library in Boca Raton will have limited opening hours over the weekend.

FAU Owls football and other Athletics events

Football game scheduled for Oct. 9

Florida Atlantic University’s athletic department welcomes fans to the rescheduled football game as well as previously scheduled events. Admission will be free. The Owls football game versus Charlotte has been rescheduled for noon, Sunday, Oct. 9. Gates open at 10:30 a.m. Fans who purchased tickets to this game can contact the FAU Athletic Ticket Office to trade in those tickets for a future game. For more ticket information, email tickets@fau.edu and your questions will be answered within a timely manner.

Other Athletics events       

The previously scheduled women’s soccer and volleyball matches will take place as scheduled and also will be free to the public.
