FAU Football’s Home Win Streak is Alive and Well!

Over the weekend, FAU football extended its home winning streak to eight games, defeating the U.S. Air Force Academy by a score of 33-27. Once the weather cleared up, we enjoyed a wonderful evening of Football in Paradise.

Several players broke school records, including Conference USA Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, Azeez Al-Shaair. Azeez now has 187 career solo tackles, breaking Frantz Joseph’s decade-old record of 183. Quarterback Chris Robison recorded 471 passing yards, setting a new record previously held by Rusty Smith (463) during the team’s historic 2007 season. He was named the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week. Solid tackling and a critical late interception by Rashad Smith earned him Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week honors. Devin “Motor” Singletary extended his streak of scoring a rushing touchdown to 15 consecutive games.

The Owls are at home again this Saturday, Sept. 15, and will face Bethune-Cookman at 6 p.m. Ticket information is available by clicking here. As always, tickets are free for students. Click here for more information.

FAU Football needs your support to keep their streak alive. I hope to see you at FAU Stadium on Saturday cheering the team to their ninth home victory!
