Good Luck on ‘Holey Moley,’ Dr. Chiang!

Tonight, FAU economics professor Eric Chiang, Ph.D., will appear on the mini-golf competition show “Holey Moley” on ABC. Dr. Chiang, a seasoned mini golf competitor, joined the FAU College of Business faculty in 2003. In 2009, he was selected by students as the Distinguished Teacher of the Year, the highest teaching honor at FAU. He received the FAU Alumni Association’s Faculty Talon Award in 2011.

This is the first season of “Holey Moley,” which Dr. Chiang described as a cross between mini golf and the TV show “American Ninja Warrior,” because it includes a number of extreme obstacles and challenges. He will compete in the show’s season finale, for a chance to win $25,000. Click here for a video about his experience.

Rumor has it, if victorious, Dr. Chiang plans to use the prize money to support student scholarships at FAU. I’m sure all of his fellow Owls would cheer for him anyway, but now we have even more reason to hope he wins! Good luck, Dr. Chiang!
