This week the FAU community came together to show our support for those affected by the mass shooting in Orlando. Students, faculty and staff lined up to give blood. A number of people gathered to remember the victims at a vigil at the Schmidt College of Medicine, followed by a “Real Talk” discussion. We also welcomed several experts for a panel discussion about the tragedy.

Next week, FAU will host a candlelight vigil in Davie on Monday, June 20, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Davie Student Union Peace Pole Area.

Once again, I want to express my deepest sympathies to everyone who was affected by the shooting in Orlando last Sunday morning. Together we remain #OrlandoUnited.
