Today I joined a delegation of students in Tallahassee for the annual “FAU Day” at the Florida Capitol. FAU Day is a great opportunity to meet with lawmakers, share FAU’s successes, and lobby on behalf of the university.

FAU Day started out with breakfast featuring remarks from Florida CFO and soon-to-be FAU CFO, Jeff Atwater, and tours of the Senate and House chambers. At lunch we heard from Marshall Criser, chancellor of the State University System of Florida, who commended FAU’s “incredible progress.”

Thank you to everyone who traveled to Tallahassee to help further FAU’s recognition as a center of top-quality educational programs, economic development, meaningful research and transformative community engagement.
