Need Help? Just Ask!

As the spring semester shifts into high gear, things can get pretty hectic for students. If you need help with anything, from balancing your classes with your work schedule and social life to dealing with stress and anxiety, remember that many resources are available to you on campus. Your academic advisor can help you with issues relating to managing your class load, and the Center for Learning and Student Success (CLASS) provides free supplemental instruction and tutoring services. Professional staff members in Counseling & Psychological Services are there for you if you’re grappling with emotional problems; their services are also available free of charge.

Last semester we introduced an outreach program called “Need Help? Just Ask!” which is built upon the principle that “it takes a village” to help students navigate university life. Many faculty and staff members are still wearing lanyards advertising their participation in this program. Whether you see a lanyard or not, do not hesitate to approach any faculty or staff member to ask for guidance if you’re in need of help of any kind. We’re all here to help you make the most of your FAU experience and reach the goals you’ve set for yourself. So remember – Need Help? Just Ask!
