Setting Up Microsoft Outlook 2010 with an Exchange Account on Windows 7
The following instructions are for Outlook 2007 and newer versions. If you have an older version these instructions will not work and you will need to use the Outlook Web Access (http://mail.fau.edu) to access your email.
- Click on Start. Then click Control Panel. (Control Panel is located in the right-hand column.)
- Click on User Accounts.
- Click on Mail.
- Click on Add.
- Type Exchange in the Profile Name field. Then click OK.
- Check the third option: Manually configure server settings or additional server types.
- Then click Next>
- Check the second option: Microsoft Exchange or compatible service.Then click next>
- Type exchange.fau.eu in the Server ame field.
Type your FAUNetID@fau.edu in the User Name field. Example: johndoe@fau.edu
- Then click Next>
- Type in your FAUNetID password (the password you use to access your email and myFAU) at the Windows Security Window.
- Check: Remember my credentials. (This will save your password so you won't need to put in your password every time you open Outlook.)
- Click OK.
- Click Finish.
Setup is complete
Open Microsoft Outlook.
- Click on Start.
- Click on All Programs.
- Click on Microsoft Office.
- Click on Microsoft Outlook.
