Setting Up Microsoft Outlook with Office 365 email for Windows:

If you are logged into a computer on FAU's network (domain), use the following instructions:

  1. Open Outlook - when opening for the first time while on the network, Outlook will automatically begin to attempt to setup
  2. Accept the defaults on the pop-up screen, select next, and next again
  3. On the "Auto account setup" screen, your username should automatically populate
  4. If your username (FAUnetid) is not filled in, enter your complete username and password (ie. FAUnetid@fau.edu)
  5. Fill in your full name if not automatically populated.
  6. Select "Finish".
  7. Outlook setup is complete.  Your email should start to come into your Outlook inbox.

If you are not logged into FAU's network (domain), use the following:

  1. Ensure you have an active internet connection.
  2. Open Outlook
  3. On the "Auto account setup" screen, enter your full email address (ie. FAUnetid@fau.edu), password and name.
  4. Click -> Next
  5. A screen will popup "Windows Security"
  6. Enter your password when prompted.
  7. Click -> OK
  8. Outlook will configure.
  9. Click -> Finish.
  10. Enter your password when prompted.
  11. Ensure the box is checked for "Remember my credentials"
  12. Outlook setup is complete. Your email should start to come into your Outlook inbox.
