Setting Up Exchange on different mobile devices:

iPhone/iPad Exchange Setup

  1. Touch -> Settings.
  2. Touch -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. Touch -> Add Account.
  4. Touch -> Microsoft Exchange.
  5. Type in your email address, Domain: FAU, FAUNetID, and password.
  6. Touch -> Next.
  7. It will then verify the account information and bring up the server field.
  8. If the field is not automatically populated, type Exchange.ad.fau.edu.
  9. Touch -> Next.
  10. Make sure that each of the following has ON next to it: Mail, Calendars, Contacts, Reminders.
  11. Touch -> Save.

Exchange Setup for various Android devices
Configuring FAU Exchange on a HTC Android device:

  1. Open the “Menu” and click “Settings”.
  2. Select “Accounts & sync".
  3. Select “Add account”.
  4. Select the type “Exchange ActiveSync”.
  5. Enter your full FAU email address (ie. FAUNet_ID@fau.edu) as the Username.
  6. Click “Next”.
  7. On the “Exchange ActiveSync settings” page.
    1. Ensure Mail, Calendar, and Contacts are checked to sync all of these items.
    2. Under “Update Schedule” select “Push mail”.
  8. Click “Finish setup”.

Configuring FAU Exchange on a Motorola Android device:

  1. Open the “Menu” and click “Settings”.
  2. Select “Accounts”.
  3. Select “Add account”.
  4. Select “Corporate Sync”.
  5. Enter the following.
    1. Email address -> FAUNet_ID@fau.edu as the email.
    2. Enter your FAUNetID password as the Password.
    3. Enter “fau” for Domain.
    4. Enter “FAUNETID” without @fau.edu as the Username.
  6. Click “Next”.
  7. On the “Success!” page click “Done”.

Configuring FAU Exchange on Samsung Android device:

  1. Open the “Menu” and click “Settings”.
  2. Select “Accounts and sync”.
  3. Select “Add account”.
  4. Select “Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync”.
  5. Enter your full FAU email address (ie. FAUNet_ID@fau.edu) as the Email address.
  6. Enter your FAUNetID Password as the Password.
  7. Click “Next.
  8. Under “Activation” warning screen you will need to click “Yes”.
  9. Under “Remote security administration” you will need to click “Yes”.
  10. Click “Next” under “Account options” screen.
  11. Under “Set up email” click “Done”.
  12. Under “Active device administrator?” screen click “Activate”.
