What are the hours of operation?

The student mail room department is open Monday thru Friday from11am-6pm and Saturdays from 11am-3pm
Time varies in summer time.
Incoming Mail:
Incoming mail arrives to the university mailroom by 12pm Monday thru Saturday, excluding holidays. The mail is sorted by our staff and then delivered to the dorms according to the daily schedule times.

What deliveries does the mailroom accept?

All FedEx, UPS, DHL packages are delivered straight to the Residence Halls. The central mail room only receives and process USPS packages and letters.

What days do the mailroom accept deliveries?

USPS deliveries are accepted in the mailing room as follows:

  • USPS Letters and packages: Monday thru Saturday
  • No deliveries are accepted on Sundays or holidays. Mailrooms are closed

What is the mailroom process?

All USPS letters and UPS & Fedex packages are delivered by Novitex in the morning (to the mailing room) get delivered to the Residence Halls of the students by the end of business day. We do not hold any package(s) in the central mailing room.
Mailroom routes:

  • Letters will run once a day (by 6pm) meanwhile packages may be ran as many times as needed in order to deliver (all) on the same day.
  • Outgoing mail (picked up from drop off locations) go out daily

How can I locate my package?

You can call the mailing room to get more information on your delivery. We will need the tracking number of the package(s) that you are trying to locate. The mailroom cannot locate letters/packages without a tracking number.

  • Letters are delivered into each student’s mailbox by 6pm

I moved dorms, how can I notify the mailing room?

There is no need to notify the mail room. We have access to the FAU students’ database. This database is updated once a day.

  • Proper Address:
    Student must use the assigned address to their dorm. The only variable number is the box. This is the correct format to be used for students mail:
    Student Name
    Box #
    Street Number, Street Name
    City, State, Zip code

Note: Please DO NOT use the FAU address (777 Glades Rd, Boca Raton, FL 33431.) Each student has an assigned address to their dorm.

  • Outgoing department Mail:
    Outgoing mail is picked up from each Residence Hall at the same time incoming mail is delivered. The mail is brought to central receiving. USPS picks up all the mail from central receiving at 4:30pm.
Where do you buy stamps?

The mailroom does not sell stamps to students. However, you can buy stamps at the USPS.com website.
