The University has established an official name badge design for non-athletic purposes. No other University name badge shall be produced without the approval of University Communications and Marketing. The name badge design reflects the visual standards (shown below) and can be ordered through any licensed vendor.
Requirements:
Typestyle: Optima (18 pt. - 22 pt. for name / 9 pt. - 12 pt. for department)
Logo Colors: PMS 295 Blue and PMS 200 Red
Badge Size: 3" x 1.5" or 3.5" x 1.5"
Badge Material: White plastic
Tips for an effective name badge:
- One line of text for the name is best (no more than two lines)
- No more than two lines of text for the description below the name is best. More than two lines of text is difficult to read at a glance.
- It is best to not list individual titles: 1) If the person’s title changes within their department, they would have to replace the badge; 2) Many titles have little meaning to people from outside the University. Ideally, the description would be department and college, or department and campus.
