Transfer Orientation Overview

All newly admitted Transfer students must complete Virtual Orientation. Participation in the in-person orientation program is encouraged (but not required) for all incoming students.

Once you pay for orientation, your orientation hold will be lifted.

Advising take place seperately from orientation, so we ask that you schedule an academic advising appointment as soon as possible. Please refer to the instructions in the advising module at

Through the in-person and virtual orientation programs you will learn about services and resources that are essential to your success. The added benefit of the in-person experience is that you will have the opportunity meet with fellow transfer students and meet with university personnel who will form part of your support network.  Here are the topics covered in orientation:

  • Academic Resources
  • Career Resources
  • Safety and Conduct
  • Health and Wellness Resources
  • Registration Policies
