Beyond Food

What is the Beyond Food Program?

The Beyond Food Program and Food Pantry is a holistic program that utilizes the expertise of various on and off campus resources in assisting FAU students in need to raise their food security level to persist toward academic success. Furthermore, based on the availability of donations we would like to serve any FAU student by providing a 3-day supply of canned and/or non-perishable food to those experiencing food insecurity.

How do students receive assistance?

The Beyond Food Program and Food Pantry operates primarily on the referrals from FAU faculty, staff, and fellow students who have identified students with temporary food assistance needs. To refer a student, please select the “Refer” option on this page. When referring a student, please make them aware that a member of the Beyond Food Program will be in contact with them.

If you are a student and are seeking assistance for yourself, please select the “Request Assistance” option on this page. The Beyond Food program is able to serve members of the FAU community by asking individuals to complete this Intake Form prior to meeting with a Beyond Food team member. This will allow us to better meet your needs and ensure we have the resources available. Once the request is processed (usually within 2 business days) you will be contacted to schedule a time to meet with a member of the Beyond Food Program team. Fulfillment of an emergency food pack is based on the availability of food items at time of assistance.
