Sharon Lee Hart is a D.C. born visual artist whose work explores links between humans, non-human animals, and the natural world through a lens-based practice and cameraless experimentation with photographic materials. She is currently working on an exhibition of photo-based works and books inspired by her artist residency in Joshua Tree National Park.  

Hart’s work is in several permanent collections including The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and has been exhibited throughout the US and internationally. She earned her MFA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Hart maintains an active studio practice and is Head of Photography and an Associate Professor of Art at Florida Atlantic University.
