According to department chair Eric Berlatsky:

If you have a minute (or a half hour…or more!) next time you’re in the library (or take a special trip!), please check out the exhibit at the front.  It’s of classic Science Fiction novels (first editions!), pulp magazines, fanzines, and original art.  All of it is from the collection of friend-of-the-department Dr. Richard Meli, a medical doctor who also runs Heartwood Books (rare and spectacular SF and other things).  All of the exhibit’s captions, title and description cards, etc. are written by Carol McGuirk and Ian Macdonald.  It really looks great and there’s a wealth of information there.  If you have any interest in SF or rare books (or both!), you should definitely check it out.  Thanks also to Adam Bradford for connecting us to Dr. Meli and making this happen!
