FAU provides both interactive classrooms and conference rooms to the academic community on all FAU campuses. Many of these rooms are available to all colleges on a first-come first-served basis for live transmission of accredited courses to partner campuses. Interactive courses must be booked through the Registrar's office prior to the scheduling of the academic term.
The interactive videoconference classrooms and conference rooms located throughout all of the FAU campuses can be reserved for individual meetings and special requests. To submit a request, please do so at the FAU Helpdesk. All requests should be submitted at least a week in advance and are subject to room availability. Please note that external videoconferencing with other institutions may incur charges as well as additional setup and testing time.
FAU now supports WebEx for remote software Video Conferencing. WebEx is a Skype like software solution that is capable of interworking with the FAU Videoconferencing rooms. For more information please contact the FAU Videobridge or include your request in your Video Conferencing ticketVC Room List
Echo360 Lecture Capture
Video capture of academic classes is available in specially equipped classrooms located on the FAU campuses. Many of these rooms are available to all colleges on a first-come first-served basis lecture capture of accredited courses with distribution to Blackboard. Lecture Capture courses must be requested via the Registrar’s office prior to the start of the academic term.
Limited space and time is available for ad hoc recordings in Echo360 equipped rooms. To request a recording time please submit and Echo360 Recording Request through the FAU Helpdesk. All requests should be submitted at least a week in advance and are subject to room availability. Recordings are delivered digitally via email link; no physical media is available.
Desktop capture for lectures or supplemental instructional videos is also available in the Self Service studio located on the Boca Raton Campus or on your own PC. For more information please contact the Training Team or submit an Echo Support Training ticket at the FAU Helpdesk.
