Social Justice Week

Social Justice Week is focused on activism, advocacy, and allyship, designed to help students identify and address thesocial issues that they are passionate about. Below are the Social Justice events this week:

  • Tunnel Vision  is an interactive display of different social issues that affect our communities – locally, nationally, and globally. The display is open at various times and can 10-30 minutes to walk through it all. Join us in the Diamond Palm Room on the first floor of the Student Union to see it.
  • Real Talk Conversation : On Friday, January 27 from 12-1 p.m., (updated date/time) we are hosting the Real Talk Conversation that is designed to be a Professional Development Session. Dr. Cynthia K. Gooch-Grayson, Associate Vice President for Equity & Inclusion at Omaha Metropolitan Community College will facilitate a conversation on DEI. Space is limited to 25 participants and we have a few seats open. Lunch will be served and if interested, folx can email RSVP to me at jizagui2@fau.edu.
  • Diversity Symposium for Faculty & Staff : And finally, the Annual Diversity Symposium for Faculty and Staff will take place on Monday, January 30, 2023 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This is a half day event taking place in the Student Union.
